Write for Cyborguide
We’re looking for guest contributors from across the travel & experiences ecosystem. Whether you're a creator, tour operator, attraction, platform provider, or distributor, we want to hear how guided experiences are evolving—especially with AI in the mix.
That could mean hybrid tours, AI tour guides, humanoid robots, or any other innovation in how experiences are delivered. If you’re experimenting with the future of guiding, we want to hear from you.
What we’re looking for
- Real-world stories of guided experiences—what’s working, what’s changing
- Predictions—with explanations. Where do you see things heading, and why? Don’t just name trends—show us what’s driving them based on what you’re seeing or experiencing
- We’re especially interested in hearing from tour operators, attractions, and others providing experiences directly to travellers—the supply side of the industry
- Also very welcome: insights from platform providers, distributors, and others shaping the future
Article format
- Word count - aim for 600–1000 words. Got more to say? Think about turning it into a short series across a couple of weeks
- Style - short, easy to scan. Our readers are busy—not academics!
- Bullets - we like bullet points with the first few words in bold to make key ideas pop (non-mandatory, but appreciated)
- Audience - most readers aren’t AI or travel tech experts - keep it simple, focus on showing over explaining
What you can include
- Images (please ensure you have rights to use them)
- Embeds supported:
- YouTube
- TikTok
- Other formats? Just ask—we’ll try to make it work
Editorial guidelines
- You must get approval from the editor before writing your article
- Your article may be edited for clarity, tone, or format before publishing
- We use AI tools to support the writing process, but our voice remains distinctly human—that’s the balance we aim for
- Submission is not a guarantee of publication
- We may choose not to publish if:
- The article feels too obviously written by AI—we’re looking for a human voice and real perspective
- It lacks insights, predictions, or useful takeaways
- It drifts from the topic you originally pitched
- It includes too many embeds—a video or image can enhance, but words must lead
- We may choose not to publish if:
- No affiliate links
The small print
- Copyright - you retain the copyright to your work, but by submitting an article, you grant Cyborguide the right to edit, publish, and promote it across our platforms
- Contributor status - you’re welcome to say you’ve written for Cyborguide—but doing so doesn’t make you a formal part of our team. Contributing an article doesn’t imply partnership, endorsement, or a journalistic affiliation
- Originality - articles must be your original work and not previously published elsewhere. If you'd like to republish it later, just check with us first
How to get started
- Send us an email at hello@cyborguide.com letting us know you’d like to be involved—and tell us why your perspective matters. We’re looking for original, high-value writing—not low-effort content. What insight or experience will you bring? Share examples of where you’ve written before
- If we accept your pitch, we’ll invite you as a collaborator (we use Ghost)
- Add a photo and bio to your profile
- Upload your article draft
- We’ll handle:
- Headline (you can suggest one)
- Cover image (you can suggest one)
- Tags & excerpt
- Final editing & publishing
- Once live, please share it on your socials!
Got a story in mind but not sure where to start? Just reach out—we’d love to help you shape it.
